National Trails Day: June 7th, 2008: noon. UPDATE
As first envisioned in the 1934 edition of the New York Walk book, a trail linking New York City to the AT, became a reality at high noon.
Here is a aerial shot of where we met.
Here is a photo of Bob shaking hands with his nephew, Walter, who worked on the Long Path when he was a lad, as walking from west and east we complete the blazing of the trail on Sunken Mine Road.

It was a very, very hot day and appreciate the participation of everyone who joined us, including the dog Max.
