Just the other day, I was out scouting for the new trail, and I took a photo across the Hudson River from the Spitzenberg, a craig on the east side of the river.

These may look like a bunch of bumps on a log to you, but in point of fact they are from left to right: Hook Mountain, High Tor, Little Tor and South Mountain. This is the route I blazed for the Long Path, some 45 years ago. High Tor had a tower then, now long gone.
